Broad Room is a nonprofit organization centered on physical, mental, and spiritual wellness for creatives in Sacramento. We provide free + low-cost resources to support artists in our community. We believe sustained growth in the arts community requires a wholesome approach and accessibility. For this reason, we offer a variety of resources including donation-based yoga classes, art therapy, group therapy-type meet-ups, free space for wellness related groups, and an Emergency Fund for Creatives.

Broad Room’s Heritage
150 years before Broad Room opened, a few women fed up with being excluded from the all-men's New York Press Club opened their own club. The club was Sorosis, and by the end of the first year there were over 80 women connecting, collaborating, and building community in their own exclusive group. Broad Room is proud to be a part of this tradition of women creating their own spaces to connect professionally and socially to create meaningful change.
Broad Room was born in the summer of 2018 when two local women decided to work together to build a community space to support the creative community in Sacramento. What was just an idea in June 2019 suddenly had our first space in Midtown by the end of August 2019. Over the next 10 months, Broad Room grew into a collective that served 40 members, provided opportunities for over 80 creative entrepreneurs through workshops and markets, welcomed over 2,000 people to our events, and offered over a dozen free + donation-based wellness classes and other resources to the community.
Mid-summer 2019, Broad Room relocated to our new location in Del Paso Heights. We are excited to continue to serve our community in this larger space.
